Circuit presentation
Set off from Morondava across the rugged tracks and rivers of western Madagascar to Bekopaka, passing through the Avenue of the Baobabs—the starting point of an immersive 4×4 journey through unique, wild landscapes. Next, dive into the Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, to explore an impressive labyrinth of limestone cathedrals and suspended footbridges while discovering rare wildlife.
Detailed program
DAY 1: Antananarivo – Morondava
Take a 1h10min domestic flight from Antananarivo to Morondava – City tour and visit to the Avenue of the Baobabs until sunset.
DAY 2: Morondava
Early morning departure from the hotel – Admire the sunrise at the Avenue of the Baobabs – Visit to the Zaza Malala Forest and its botanical garden – Sunset at the Avenue of the Baobabs.
DAY 3: Morondava – Bekopaka
Departure from Morondava (approx. 10 hours of dirt road driving) – Ferry crossing over the Tsiribihina River – Ferry crossing over the Manambolo River.
DAY 4: Bekopaka
Visit to the Grand Tsingy (observe wildlife such as Sifakas, various species of chameleons, geckos, and rock-adapted flora) – Picnic lunch in Bemaraha National Park.
DAY 5: Bekopaka
Visit to the Petit Tsingy – Traditional dugout canoe excursion along the Manambolo River gorges to admire the Vazimba tombs along with local flora and fauna.
DAY 6: Bekopaka – Morondava
Departure from Bekopaka – Lunch in Tsiribihina – Visit to the Avenue of the Baobabs to enjoy the sunset.
DAY 7: Morondava – Antananarivo – Andasibe (Périnet)
Departure from Morondava – Flight to Antananarivo (1h10min) – Arrival in Antananarivo – Drive transfer to Périnet (4h30min) – Visit to the chameleon park (Peyrieras Reserve) – Night walk in Périnet.
DAY 8: Andasibe (Périnet) – Antananarivo
Visit to Lemur Island – Excursion in Analamazaotra National Park – Lunch at a local restaurant – Return drive to Antananarivo.
