  ANTANANARIVO – ANTSIRABE (167 Km)

  After breakfast, drive to the south, crossing the highlands. We set off on our overland journey through the mountains and traditional earthen house of ethnic Merina villages of the highlands. Stop at Ambatolampy to visit aluminium dishes and cooking pots factory. Continuation between hills of thousand warriors. Small tables set by peasants suggest you fruits and vegetables of the vast alluvial valley. Lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon, city tour and visit of the tailored of precious stone, corn of Zebu and rickshaw and bicycle miniature workshop. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

  ANTSIRABE-RANOMAFANA (200 km)

  Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Ranomafana, through the landscape characterised by terrace rice fields of vivid colours until the village of Ambositra, the main center of the Malagasy marquetry. Here, sculpture made of precious wood make the pride of the Zafimaniry. Lunch at a restaurant, then continuation till Ranomafana “The central thermal”. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

  RANOMAFANA

  After breakfast, visit of Ranomafana national park, inhabited by many species of lemurs, looking for the three species of bamboo lemur, one of which was only recently discovered. Ranomafana is one of the country’s top bird watching spot. This national park homes 26 species of mammals which 12 species lemurs live in this humid forest without forgetting the rarely “Hapalémur doré” and 96 species of birds and a hundred species of orchid. Picnic lunch. Nocturnal visit to see mouse lemurs or “Microcebus” the smallest nocturnal lemur. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

  RANOMAFANA - RANOHIRA

  After breakfast, drive to the big south. Impressive granite rise from the grassy plains, with descriptive names like the Bishop’s Hat. Stop at Ambalavao to visit winery and the famous “Antemoro paper” workshop, Antemoro paper is made by AVOHA’s bark decored by natural flowers. Lunch at a restaurant. Sunset at the “Fenêtre de l’Isalo”, Isalo window. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

  RANOHIRA (ISALO)

  Breakfast at hotel. Full day visit of the Isalo massif starting from the canyon of Maki., ring-tailed lemurs, brown lemurs and occasionally Sifaka are found on the forested floor of these deeply eroded sandstone gorges, birds, butterflies and chameleons. Picnic lunch. In the afternoon, hiking in the most rugged part of the park, to a breathtaking natural rock swimming pool. Along the way you will see pachypodium plants known as dwarf Baobab 50 to 60 cm clothed by nice yellow flowers. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

  RANOHIRA – TULEAR (250 km)

  After breakfast, drive across the National Road No.7 to Tulear. Passing through the country of the Sapphire searchers in Ilakaka. On the way, you can see the decorated Mahafaly tombs and many baobab trees before getting the coastal town Toliara. After lunch, city tour by visiting the shell’s market, arboretum d’Antsokay where you discover many species of fauna, flora and the oceanography museum to see Coelacanth. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

  TULEAR - ANTANANARIVO

  Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the airport and fly back to Antananarivo, according flight schedule. Arrival in Antananarivo and transfer to the hotel. Lunch at a restaurant. Visit of the biggest handicraft market at the Digue and city tour in Antananarivo (depends on flight schedule) Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
